19 year old defenseman, Brandon Davidson, who was selected in the 6th round, 162nd overall in the 2012 NHL entry draft, was recently signed to a 3 year, entry level contract by the Edmonton Oilers. Davidson spent last year with the WHL Regina Pats collectiong 13 goals, 36 assists, and was a huge +26. He is an even offensive-defensman. Oklahoma City fans may remember Davidson when in last year's OKC Barons short lived playoff run, Davidson had skated in 1 game, and was a +1.

In signing Davidson to a 3 year, ELC deal, the Oilers also signed to a 3 year ELC, defensman Oscar Klefbom. Klefbom was selected by Edmonton in just last year's NHL entry draft, 19th overall. So high hopes for this young defenseman. In the past season, Klefbom skated in 33 games with Farjestads BK Karlstad in the Swedish Elite League. Klefbom scored 2 goals but was unsuccessful in getting assists. Klefbom is a 2-way defender.
